The Greatest Day EVER

Some people have the ability to have a “normal” lifestyle, to carry on throughout a
complete day with their “normal” routines, and be pretty great with it all. But if
by some odd chance something out of the ordinary should happen, this “normal” person
might just not be “pretty great with it all” –This type of person should NOT hang
around me! Ha ha!

Sharing an Evening

Edna and Erika, my workmates, and Erika's precious 23 month-old Alex, came over for dinner tonight. Edna is our M.D. translator who obviously speaks good English (she can even understand Tim's East Texas idioms!). Erika is our office manager and a single mom living with her parents. She studied English at university and can understand quite a bit but only speaks about as much English as I do Spanish, so Edna's translating duties carried over into the time.

Ha, guess where? yeah, Mexico!

About a year ago, my friend Rachel and I were having a highly intellectual discussion regarding the topic of “the dumbest places in the world to live”. Haha! Among our top results were Mexico, and Kansas. At the time of our brainstorming, we were both living in the small town of Boerne Texas. Little did we know the irony that awaited us.
